About this deal
Are you looking for a decorative wax to transform your painting project to another to another dimension?
Work the liming wax into the grain with an ultra fine steel wool (grade 0000) or a lint-free cloth then wipe over with a clean cloth to remove any excess wax and allow to dry for 3 minutes. When the surface is covered, wipe lightly across the grain making sure the wax stays in the open pores. A magnificent collection of stunning decorative waxes to add age, shimmer or sheen to your project. Easy to apply ‘limed’ effect finish for all timbers, particularly open grained species such as ash and oak. In preparation, ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any previous finishes. For a guide and comparison of our wax polishes, have a read of our blog, Wax Polishes, Which Should I Use? This fine museum quality wax is based on an old family recipe. And remember: if you have applied too much use clear wax, the "magic eraser" 😊 Use a bronze liming brush to open the wood pores to make them more receptive to the wax. Fiddes Liming Wax is designed to give a white shade or to give a limed appearance to stained or bare wood.
- Leave for 3-5 mins and buff with a clean lint free cloth

You need to make sure you use it sparingly and blend to avoid chunks of white bits, but I barely used much for a large coffee table. I used it to age some orange pine furniture. I gave it a couple of coats and it has left the wood smooth and with a lovely water proof finish.

A little goes a long way. Loads left over. Brilliant product Nice smooth wax it really smells so I did take my item outside to wax. Great little product which was really easy to work with.

The media could not be loaded. I barely used any wax on the coffee table so I have plenty left. Easy to use and rub into the wood.
